I was born in Mornington, Australia in 1978 and grew up on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
I have always appreciated the natural beauty of the local area, spending many hours taking in the serene ambiance, and changing moods of the various locations.
When I became more interested in photography several years ago, I loved capturing the best shots
with the perfect light and colours in my favorite places.
I attended Dromana primary school and then Padua college in Rosebud.
Following this, I completed a painting & decorating apprenticeship and worked in this industry both “on the brush” and in retail stores until 2020.
I particularly liked colour matching and in retail, advising customers on colour combinations for their decorating.
I was beginning to realise then my innate love of colour.
2020 was a tough year for many people in so many ways, but during downtime from painting I was finally able to concentrate on starting up my photography business which has always been my real passion.
During this time, I donated some block prints to Frankston hospital.
My parents always had “our sonshine” as their term of endearment for me, so this was the obvious choice of name for my business to also acknowledge their support & encouragement.
With their love, support & belief, my beautiful partner Michelle, and her daughter Steph have been my inspiration to follow my dream.
Although just starting over this past year, I know I have made the right choice in career by creating beautiful photographs to bring lasting pleasure to me and my customers.
